Alumni College: Food for Thought
This year’s program will feature lectures about food as culture, food as ritual, and food as choice by Mark Levandoski, professor of chemistry; Todd Armstrong, professor of Russian; Mark Laver, assistant professor of music; and Leslie Lyons, professor of chemistry.
You will also have the chance to choose between two optional excursions either to the Meskwaki settlement’s Red Earth Gardens and a local Iowa vineyard or to Middle Way Farm and one of the largest Amish settlements west of the Mississippi near Kalona, Iowa.

Thank you to the 3,376 alumni, parents, students, faculty and staff, and friends who made a gift in support of Scarlet & Give Back Day. We are proud of the extraordinary generosity displayed by Grinnellians worldwide. Today’s donor total has set a new one-day record for donors to the College.
Because of the tremendous number of donors, we successfully met two donor challenges and unlocked $1.1 million in matching gifts. more>>
